Cherylis

Born on the 28th March 1995, Cherylis is from Fleur de Lys, Birkirkara. She is an extremely talented singer/songwriter, and has also had more than a couple of starring roles an actress. Cherylis took up singing around 15 years ago, showcasing her talent in a number of competitions. In 2016, Cherylis made her debut in L-Għanja tal-Poplu with "Is-Sinjur" penned by Emil Calleja Bayliss with music by Mark Scicluna. This was then followed by a myriad of participations in the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza with songs such as "Wirt Tfuliti" before culminating in a runner-up finish at the 2019 edition of L-Għanja tal-Poplu with "Tfewwaħ" which she co-wrote with Philip Vella and Emil Calleja Bayliss. Between 2021 and 2022, she won the Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza with Nifs composed by Philip Vella and penned by Emil Calleja Bayliss, and then made the finals of Mużika Mużika with Jien L-Artist, written by Pamela Bezzina, finishing in the top 10 on her debut.
